Spring Styling

We have made it! The promise of lighter days has finally graced London. The breeze feels warmer and the evenings are starting to feel longer, what’s not to love about spring?

Flowers are blossoming and I am no longer having to wear a jacket, scarf, hat and gloves just to face the morning commute to work.

The best bit? I can delve into my wardrobe and start wearing all the dresses that winter was too hostile to allow.

Check out this versatile little-checked number! Found sporadically and purchased irrationally  (I have way too many dresses) in H&M.

A super easy to wear fishtail mini style that you really can dress up or down.

Beautifully structured in a classic monochrome palette, complete with a side zip that makes shimming it on that much easier.

Casual enough for bbq’s in the park and smart enough to wear to work. I think I have found a winner with this one.

I styled mine with a soft white shirt to give a smarter look to this playful dress. As much as I’d love to, I won’t be getting my arms out until the sun is hot enough to top up my tan.

Layered and delicate gold jewellery adds a little glitz to a daytime look.

A casual black bag big enough to carry all of the “essentials”? Check.

Puurrfect cute cat flats that pretty much make every outfit?.. Check!

It’s not often that I find wearing heeled shoes in the day comfortable, so these pointed cat flats add a little style to what would usually be a boring shoe. I can imagine Alexa Chung wearing them and just that would be enough to persuade me to buy a pair in every colour.

This dress is a staple must-have, I know I will wear it in a million different ways on many different days, especially now that spring has sprung.

I am now going to browse high and low for more versatile staple dresses so that I can do a spring clean of my wardrobe.

Have the arrival of lighter days put a spring in your step?
